A prison for 25 billion will appear in Kazakhstan

Elite zone! Kazakh prisoners will have a correctional colony of international level. Its construction will cost the treasury 25 billion tenge and will begin in the coming years. The land for new apartments for prisoners has already been identified. A unique prison complex will appear near Karaganda, which, by the way, already has enough colonies, TV channel reports "KTK".

- In the city of Karaganda, the issue of constructing a prison is currently being considered within the framework of a public-private partnership. Currently, the akimat of Karaganda has already allocated a land plot. There is a feasibility study, preliminary for 25 billion tenge

In addition to the residential and administrative areas, this money will be used to build dormitories for colony employees. And the prison complex itself is an analogue of many correctional institutions in Europe and America. For example, the new prison will have specially equipped cells for disabled prisoners. Instead of standard padded jackets, criminals will be dressed in warm jackets. They plan to provide food within the walls of this zone the same as abroad. Instead of chopped meat and gruel, the menu will include sausage, fresh vegetables and fruits. But who will serve time in an elite prison is still unclear. By the way, in Kazakhstan two years ago they already began to build a colony for prisoners with life sentences. The facility was designed for one and a half thousand seats. However, as it turned out during the work, in our country there are only a little more than a hundred such people convicted. The project was closed, and the money allocated for it disappeared without a trace. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
